Our community partners are running over 20 egg-citing activities and events to keep families entertained and active over the Easter holidays.
From arts and crafts to football coaching, there's something for everyone to enjoy with nine partners delivering a range of activities across our communities including Shildon Football Club, Jubilee Fields Community Centre, Trimdon Grange Community Centre, Trimdon Village Hall, and Trimdon Community College,
Every activity is accompanied by hot food or snacks and a drink, ensuring that families can enjoy a full day of fun.
Our community regeneration team went along to Trimdon Village Hall where children and parents engaged in various Easter crafts. The highlight of the day was a visit from Animal Ark, which offered children the opportunity to meet and learn about a variety of animals. This event was made possible through a partnership with Fun and Food, Durham County Council.
Stacy, Livin Tenant, said: "I have booked onto an activity every day of the week. It is so nice having the support in the village and it's on our doorstep during the school holidays".
Julie O'Connor, Community Regeneration Adviser, said "By supporting these activities, we're not just giving families fun things to do, but also bringing our community closer together. It's wonderful to see everyone so happy and connected. I'm proud to be part of something that creates such special memories".
