Livin Futures supports hundreds into employment with the help of UKSPF

Over the past year, our employability team, Livin Futures has supported over 320 tenants to overcome significant barriers to gaining work and access to training, 80 of which were made possible with funding from the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The funding initiative enabled our Livin Futures team to offer tailored work and training support, providing careers advice, CV development, interview skills training, and assistance with searches and online applications, to a greater number of tenants.

Tenants were successfully able to secure employment, participate in volunteering and work experience opportunities, advance to further qualifications and training, and receive financial well-being, benefits, and debt advice.

Jordan-Leigh Craig from West Cornforth secured a five month contract with our community partners, Cornforth Partnership, as a project administrator.

Jordan-Leigh Craig shared, "After having my little one, I struggled with childcare for some roles, and transport proved to be difficult. I attended a few courses at Cornforth House, so I knew working there would be ideal. I'm enjoying this role and I'm excited to see what happens next."

Lisa Newham, Livin Futures Adviser, said: "It's been a pleasure to see Jordan thrive in her new role and seamlessly integrate into the organisation. The programme has significantly enhanced Jordan's journey back into employment.”

We can support you with a personalised work and training programme that suits your needs.
