Five of our employees got together to form a swimathon team and swam 50 miles in 30 days to raise money for charity. They set themselves a clear mission to get people talking about dementia and to raise some cash. Vanessa Hedley, Louise Miller, Paul Thompson, Peter Camp, and Helen Johnson made up the swimathon team, each taking on 10 miles of the challenge.

In total they swam 3,200 lengths and raised an impressive £1,400.

Helen Johnson, Livin futures manager and swimathon said: “To be able to take part in the swimming event was really important to me as the Alzheimer’s Society is a charity very close to my heart. We work closely with families and tenants who are affected by dementia, so we see first-hand some of the challenges they face in day-to-day life. We were grateful to be able to play a part in donating to such a worthy cause”.
