NHC Bursary helps local artist to grow her business

Sarah Wingfield from Newton Aycliffe, has been able to give her business a boost with the help of our Livin Futures work and training support team.

As a local artist, Sarah was struggling to meet her clients needs with the technology she had access to, which meant editing work on her phone was taking too long and proving to be very difficult.

Following a referral from her Housing Adviser during a tenancy visit, Livin Futures Adviser, Lisa Newham worked with Sarah to secure a £500 Northern Housing Consortium Unlocking Success Bursary to purchase a Magic Drawing Pad, XP Pen Portable Stand, and Stylus.

The drawing tablet is more accessible meaning she is now able  to meet her client specifications, and allows her to modify and create art with ease.

Sarah Wingfield said: "Having successfully achieved a contract with a stock image website, I found it exceptionally difficult to meet their requirements of the contract without the correct software, I would like to say a huge thank you to Lisa Newham from Livin Futures and Northern housing consortium for helping my business visions come to fruition."

Lisa Newham, Livin Futures adviser said: "Sarah is passionate about her business and further improving her stock imagery which will ultimately help her business plan.  I am very happy we have been able to support her to realise her career ambitions."
