Working with Northumbrian Water to save our tenants money

Working in partnership with Northumbrian Water we have enabled our tenants to save up to 50% on their bills. 

Our financial wellbeing team offers personalised money support that allows us to identify the best savings for our tenants based on individual circumstances.  Over 1,300 tenants were identified for 2023-2024 as meeting the eligibility criteria and were auto-enrolled or auto-renewed generating savings of over £258,000.  

Having worked with Northumbrian Water for several years this has become a vital element of our money support package. Working closely with the team we ensured that every interaction counts by cross-checking tenant accounts for eligibility, identifying savings, and applying to their accounts.

David Raffety, Head of Housing and Community Regeneration said: "In a changing world where the cost of living is affecting the majority of us, being able to pass on savings is crucial, by working with Northumbrian Water on a monthly basis we can continue to enroll tenants, helping them to save money on their future water bills."
